Round 1 The fighters advance aggressively to center canvas, deciding not to touch gloves. Aleksi Uspensky is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, "Slow Burn" prepares to pounce, but Aleksi Uspensky gets his bearings just in time. Redmond attempts to drop a fist on Uspensky, but misses and lands in his guard. Aleksi Uspensky begins to posture on his side. "Slow Burn" lands a couple of outside hooks and Aleksi Uspensky returns to the guard. Jack Redmond drops a few strong punches, opening up "Diamond in the Roughs" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. Aleksi shifts his head and hips to keep Redmond off balance and unable to land strikes. Aleksi gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jack Redmond lands a series of heavy punches forcing Aleksi to roll to his back, giving Jack Redmond mount. Aleksi Uspensky fights his leg through and gets back to half guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "Diamond in the Rough" hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Aleksi buckles Jack with a kick. Aleksi rushes forward to grab a guillotine, then falls to guard. Jack is in trouble but is able to muscles his way out of the choke. Aleksi dodges some ground strikes from "Slow Burn", and sends a few back of his own. An heel strike attempt is dodged by Redmond and he traps "Diamond in the Roughs" extended leg to move to half guard. Aleksi holds the head of Jack Redmond close to avoid shots. Jack Redmond slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Aleksi tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Aleksi Uspensky is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Jack Redmond takes down Aleksi Uspensky, but remains standing over him. Jack Redmond attempts to drop a fist on Aleksi Uspensky, but misses and lands in his guard. "Slow Burn" attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Diamond in the Rough" slips out of it at the last moment. Redmond drops a few strong punches, opening up "Diamond in the Roughs" guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "Slow Burn" secures his position. Jack telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Aleksi Uspensky gives up his back to stop the attempt. "Diamond in the Rough" rolls back into being mounted. Jack Redmond is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. Aleksi is now caught in Jacks guard. The bell signals the end of round 3.
