Round 1 Phil is staggered by a jab to the chin. The fighters circle each other. Phil takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Phil Kelly takes a punch and goes to the mat, Lee pounces into side control. Phil Kelly recovers quickly. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Lucas places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Lee attempts to pull guard, but slips, putting him on the ground, and with Phil standing over him. Phil Kelly attempts to drop a fist on Lucas Lee, but misses and lands in his guard. Kelly attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Lee slips out of it at the last moment. Lucas Lee begins to work the rubber guard. Lucas Lee shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Lucas gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Kelly fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Lee. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Lucas Lee drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Kelly sets a guillotine choke but Lucas Lee slips out at the last moment. Lucas Lee is now caught in guard. Phil lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Lucas drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Lucas Lee drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Lee backs his arms out of Phil Kellys guard, leaving just his head caught. Lee slips to the side and gets dominate control. The bell signals the end of round 3.
