Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Leonide Afanasyev receieves numerous knees to the thighs from "Robo". Buzz breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. Leonide Afanasyev is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Pelletier. After dodging a jab-cross, Buzz lands a kick to the liver of Afanasyev who steps back and begins to take a knee. Buzz rushes forward to capitalize but Afanasyev stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Pelletier throws a cross that easily dodged by Afanasyev. Leonide Afanasyev is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Buzz Pelletier prepares to pounce, but Leonide Afanasyev gets his bearings just in time. "Robo" attempts to drop a fist on Leonide, but misses and lands in his guard.Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Leonide connects with a right that puts "Robo" off balance tumbling to the mat, as Leonide towers over him. Afanasyev drops a huge strike to "Robos" chin, landing into his guard. Afanasyev attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Buzz Pelletier slips out of it at the last moment. Leonide drops a few strong punches, opening up Buzzs guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "Robo" lands a good elbow as Leonide lowers his torso. Buzz gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Leonide lands a series of heavy punches forcing Buzz to roll to his back, giving Leonide mount. Buzz Pelletier gets pummeled by the fists of Afanasyev. Buzz Pelletier gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 The fighters circle each other. Pelletier lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Leonide. Pelletier then switch kicks Leonide on the opposing rib. Buzz is staggered by a jab to the chin. Leonide parries Buzzs jab and connect with a cross. Pelletier knocks Leonide Afanasyev out with a lethal right high kick.
