Round 1 Norm circles David Peterson, mixing jabs with body shots. Peterson is staggered by a jab to the chin. Peterson parries Norms jab and connect with a cross. The fighters circle each other. Norm Thompson stuffs a shot from David and lands several shots to his body. David attempts to pull guard but Norm Thompson makes it to side mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Norm connects with a strong right hook. Thompson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Peterson. David Peterson places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Norm receieves numerous knees to the thighs from David. Thompson escapes the clinch and creates some distance. The fighters circle each other. David Peterson circles Thompson, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Norm Thompson is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from David Peterson. David Peterson now has side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Peterson takes Thompson down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Thompson. David drops a huge strike to Norms chin, landing into his guard. David passes through Norms guard into mount. Norm gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Peterson tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Norm starts to wiggle out of back control, David lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
