Round 2 Bulgakov is staggered by a jab to the chin. Evgenii Bulgakov takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Bulgakov throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Cook puts Bulgakov on the mat giving his back up. Justin peppers Bulgakov with several shots to the face. Evgenii Bulgakov starts to wiggle out of back control, Cook lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Justin keeps Bulgakov at a distance with some well timed jabs. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Justin connects with a series of punches forcing Evgenii into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Bulgakov grabs the plum and tosses Justin Cook to the ground. Evgenii attempts to drop a fist on Justin, but misses and lands in his guard. Cook begins to work the rubber guard. Justin Cook goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Bulgakov slips out at the last second. Justin Cook shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Evgenii Bulgakov attempts to drop bombs while caught in the guard, but Justin Cook takes the chance to switch Evgenii Bulgakov over to mount him. Round 3 comes to a close.
