Round 1 Tancredo connects with a series of punches forcing Hector into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. A strong elbow forces Pereira to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Rios drops a huge strike to "Jrs" chin, landing into his guard. Tancredo Pereira lands a stiff elbow while on his back. "Jr" locks a triangle but "The Chin Inspector " defends well. "Jr" continues the attempt but finally decides to let go. "The Chin Inspector s" face is red from the choke and sits low in the guard to catch his breath. Hector Rios is pulled close and is hit with a couple of strong heel strikes to the back. Hector pulls out of the guard of Tancredo Pereira, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Tancredo Pereira. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 "The Chin Inspector " executes a single leg giving him the back of "Jr". Rios tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. "Jr" starts to wiggle out of back control, "The Chin Inspector " lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Pereira takes a punch and goes to the mat, Rios pounces into side control. Pereira recovers quickly. Rios slides his knee across the body of Tancredo and takes full mount. Pereira shifts his head and hips to keep Rios off balance and unable to land strikes. Tancredo Pereira attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Rios snaps back the head of Pereira with a stiff jab. Rios throws a push kick. "Jr" shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Hectors nose.
"The Chin Inspector " gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Giving up his back, Rios panics and gives up mount instead. Hector pulls Tancredo close to avoid a flurry of strikes. "Jr" secures his position. Round 3 is finished.
