Round 1 Doug Morgan reaches down and trips Chris with a beautiful ankle pick. Doug Morgan dives into back control. Chris carefully protects himself from Dougs strikes. Wiuff starts to wiggle out of back control, Doug Morgan lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Chris is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Doug Morgan. Doug Morgan now has side control. Morgan slides his knee across the body of Chris and takes full mount. Chris Wiuff attempts to buck Doug Morgan off from mount but Doug Morgan keeps his base and maintains position. Doug telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Wiuff gives up his back to stop the attempt. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 Doug is staggered by a jab to the chin. Wiuff connects with a series of punches forcing Doug Morgan into a clinch. Chris Wiuff takes Dougs back standing. Doug isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Chris Wiuff lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Doug to release. Chris Wiuff sprawls a takedown attempt from Doug. Doug eats several punches on the way back to his feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Chris drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Doug Morgan sets a guillotine choke but Chris slips out at the last moment. Chris is now caught in guard. Chris Wiuff sits up and fakes a double axehandle to the face, instead striking the body. Doug pulls Chris Wiuff close while he regains his breath. A kimura attempt is defended well by Chris Wiuff and he is able to sneak his leg through Morgans loose guard, to half guard. Doug Morgan hits an upward elbow on Chris, and attempts to get to full guard. During the scramble though Chris takes side control. Doug takes a few knees to the body while under Chris Wiuffs side control. Doug Morgan sweeps over Wiuff and quickly obtains mount position. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Morgan eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Wiuff. Chris hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Chris Wiuff hits an uppercut to the head of Doug Morgan followed by a hard hook. Wiuff reaches down and trips Doug with a beautiful ankle pick. Wiuff dives into back control. Round 3 is finished.
