Round 1 Yamamura connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Ivanov. Misha Ivanov connects with a series of punches forcing Yamamura into a clinch. Kunio Yamamura takes the back of Misha who works for a kimura. Kunio Yamamura pulls his arm out of the hold and push Misha away. Misha Ivanov hits an uppercut to the head of Kunio followed by a hard hook. Misha fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Kunio. Kunio Yamamura drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Misha sets a guillotine choke but Kunio Yamamura slips out at the last moment. Kunio Yamamura is now caught in guard. Misha Ivanov begins to posture on his side. Kunio lands a couple of outside hooks and Misha Ivanov returns to the guard. Misha Ivanov works for a triangle but Yamamura throws Misha Ivanovs straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Misha Ivanov snatches a kimura lock but Kunio Yamamura spins around quickly to the other side holding dominant side control. Yamamura lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Yamamura attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Misha for his troubles. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Misha Ivanov takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Kunio Yamamura narrowly dodges a cross from Ivanov, but falls catching him in his guard. Ivanov tries to move to half guard but Yamamura uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Ivanov presses the action while in the guard, but Kunio Yamamura is able to switch him into mount. Kunio splits Mishas nose open with a well timed punch. Yamamura jumps out of mount and back to dominant side control. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Misha Ivanov winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Kunio lands a double jab. The fighters circle each other. Yamamura hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Misha Ivanov clinches with Yamamura and lands multiple piston shots and short uppercuts to soften up Yamamura for a trip takedown, landing Misha Ivanov is half guard. Round 3 is finished.
