Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Isao works Mereu into the cage from the clinch. Isao presses his head under Lazaro Mereus chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lazaro takes the back of Isao who works for a kimura. Lazaro pulls his arm out of the hold and push Isao away. A lazy leg kick from Mereu is caught by Isao Miki who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Mereu. Miki attempts to drop a fist on Mereu, but misses and lands in his guard. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by Isao Miki but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. Mereu narrowly dodges a cross from Isao Miki, but falls catching him in his guard. Lazaro Mereu is pummeled by some well timed bombs from Isao. A powerful outside hook dazes Mereu long enough for Isao Miki to work through his guard and lock a neck crank from sidemount. Mereu cannot escape and is forced to tap.
