Round 1 Michio Uesugi lands a double jab. Komatsu sends Uesugi to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Michio Uesugi attempts a kimura from the bottom. Hiroaki Komatsu blocks the attempt and smothers Michio Uesugi who transitions to an armbar attempt. Hiroaki Komatsu is able to defend this as well and works back into guard. Komatsu takes advantage of a mental laps from Michio Uesugi and moves into full mount. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "JJ" connects with a jab cross combination. Komatsu throws a cross that easily dodged by Michio Uesugi. Hiroaki Komatsu gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Michio Uesugi attempts to lock in a rear naked choke, but "JJ" rolls into to mount to cleverly avoid it. Uesugi maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. "JJ" pulls his leg out from under Michio Uesugi and gets back to half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Michio Uesugi connects with a series of punches forcing "JJ" into a clinch. Uesugi works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Michio Uesugi dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Komatsu standing over him. Komatsu attempts to drop a fist on Michio, but misses and lands in his guard. Michio Uesugi lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Uesugi begins to posture on his side. Hiroaki Komatsu lands a couple of outside hooks and Uesugi returns to the guard. Hiroaki Komatsu attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Uesugi slips out of it at the last moment. Michio locks a triangle but Komatsu defends well. Michio decides to let go of the hold. Round 3 is finished.
