Round 1 Brennan winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Alberto tries to hyperextend the knee of Brennan with a kick to the kneecap. Brennan hops back to avoid it. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. "Serpents Shadow" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Alberto lands a double jab. Alberto executes a beautiful double leg takedown, putting Joseph Brennan to the mat, and Alberto into side control. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 "Boogaloo" connects with a series of punches forcing Gomes into a clinch. Alberto Gomes lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. "Boogaloo" dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Alberto Gomes standing over him. "Serpents Shadow" stands over "Boogaloo", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Boogaloo" is able to grab an arm and pull "Serpents Shadow" into his guard. "Boogaloo" grabs the arm of "Serpents Shadow" while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Joseph attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Alberto slips out at the last moment. Joseph Brennan attempts to lock an omoplata, but Alberto is able to muscle his way back to the guard. Gomes frees a leg and moves into half guard. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Brennan attempts a takedown but slips, and Gomes backs away. Gomes is standing over Brennan. Gomes drops a huge strike to Joseph Brennans chin, landing into his guard. Joseph is almost caught in a omoplata but is able to work his way back to guard. Alberto takes advantage of a mental laps from "Boogaloo" and moves into full mount. "Serpents Shadow" secures his position. Joseph Brennan gets pummeled by the fists of "Serpents Shadow". Joseph Brennan gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Joseph Brennan eats a few stiff shots from Alberto Gomes, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. "Boogaloo" bucks off Alberto Gomes and both fighters get to their feet. Round 3 is finished.
