Round 1 Morgan circles McDonald, mixing jabs with body shots. Doug Morgan fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Russ to the cage. Russ swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. "Old" start to move for the kimura but Doug Morgan postures up and drop a powerful double-axe handle that forces "Old" flat on his back. Doug covers "Olds" mouth. As he opens his guard Doug is able to move to half guard. Doug Morgan tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Doug Morgan covers the mouth and nose of McDonald to effect his breathing. Doug Morgan presses his foot onto the thigh of Russ to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Doug Morgan takes McDonalds back standing. Russ McDonald isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Doug Morgan lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Russ McDonald to release. A wild hook from Russ McDonald is ducked by Morgan who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Russ connects with a hard jab as Doug attempts a wide outside hook. Morgan snaps back the head of Russ McDonald with a stiff jab. McDonald throws a hard jab but Morgan throws a cross right over the top that knocks McDonald to the ground. Doug lays into Russ McDonald with some stomps. Russ McDonald can't handle it as the ref stops the fight.
