Round 1 A wild hook from Lawrence is ducked by Monson who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Adrian Monson narrowly dodges a cross from Arthur Lawrence, but falls catching him in his guard. Arthur tries to move to half guard but Adrian Monson uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Arthur Lawrence eats a stiff punch to the face, and is then switched, giving Adrian full mount. Monson secures his position. Arthur attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 A shot catches Adrian Monson off balance and off guard. Arthur Lawrence grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. Adrian Monson scrambles well and works to guard. Adrian connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Arthur Lawrence takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Monsons guard. It doesn't pay off as Monson makes his way to standing. Monson is staggered by a jab to the chin. Monson connects with a jab cross combination. Arthur Lawrence stuffs a shot from Monson and lands some powerful outside hammerfists, eventually taking side mount. Arthur lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Adrian sweeps over Arthur and quickly obtains mount position. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Adrian Monson catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Lawrence. Adrian stands over Arthur Lawrence, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Arthur Lawrence is able to grab an arm and pull Adrian into his guard. Monson drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Monson takes advantage of a mental laps from Lawrence and moves into full mount. Arthur Lawrence pulls Adrian Monson close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Lawrence gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Adrian Monson begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Arthur Lawrence rolls to being mounted instead. Arthur Lawrence attempts to buck Adrian off from mount but Adrian keeps his base and maintains position. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Adrian arm drags Arthur into a double leg takedown, getting half guard. Adrian slips out of half guard and into side control. Adrian Monson drops some hammer fists on Arthur Lawrence. Arthur Lawrence gives his back in an attempt to get out of side control. As Adrian spins around to take it, Arthur Lawrence makes his way back to his feet. A couple of powerful body shots forces Arthur Lawrence back to the cage. Monson swims to double underhooks. Arthur Lawrence cannot stop Monson from stepping back and taking him to the floor. Arthur is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Arthur Lawrence start to move for the kimura but Adrian postures up and drop a powerful double-axe handle that forces Arthur Lawrence flat on his back. Adrian Monson pounds out Lawrence with brutal punches. The referee dives in to stop the fight. Lawrence tackles the referee due to being dazed and confused.
