Round 1 Kit winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Kit Pelletier parries Barbers jab and connect with a cross. Kit Pelletier gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Barber locks in a body triangle as he takes shots at Kit. Pelletier starts to wiggle out of back control, Barber lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Pelletier eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Dustin Barber. Pelletier eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Dustin Barber. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 "Easter Surprise" connects with a series of punches forcing Kit into a clinch. Dustin Barber works to Pelletiers back while standing. Dustin Barber throws a couple of outside shots until Kit is able to work his way back to the clinch. Dustin takes Pelletiers back standing, but Pelletier isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura but Dustin squirms out and both fighters end up standing. Kit Pelletier connects with a hard jab as Dustin attempts a wide outside hook. Kit Pelletier eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Dustin. Pelletier throws a push kick. "Easter Surprise" shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Pelletiers nose.
Dustin takes Kit down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Kit. Dustin Barber hovers over Kit pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Dustin Barber throws the leg aside and takes side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Pelletier connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Dustin Barber stuffs a shot from Pelletier and hits him with an outside body shot. Pelletier gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. Kit connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Dustin frees a leg and moves into half guard. Barber slams his knee into Kits ribs. Kit Pelletier tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Pelletier hips out allowing him to take Barbers back. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 The fighters circle each other. Kit connects with numerous jabs to the face of "Easter Surprise". Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Dustin dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Kit lands a hook to the body. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Barber snaps back the head of Kit with a stiff jab. Pelletier gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Giving up his back, Kit Pelletier panics and gives up mount instead. Dustin Barber punishes Kit with a series of strikes from the mount. Kit bucks off "Easter Surprise" and sweeps him over to his back getting into his half guard. Round 5 comes to a close.
