Round 1 Stevens dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Gabe Carter. The fighters circle each other. Stevens throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from "Late Bloomer" puts Stevens on the mat giving his back up. Gabe peppers shot to the head of Stevens looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Stevens is hand playing well. Vincent Stevens starts to wiggle out of back control, Carter lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Stevens connects with a strong body shot combo. A shot catches Vincent off balance and off guard. Carter grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. Vincent scrambles well and works to guard. Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Stevens lands a double jab. Gabe connects with a jab cross combination. Stevens swaying back and forth with Balanco plants front foot while throwing hands and head to the ground like a cartwheel sending the both feet up and over connecting to the head of Gabe Carter. Gabe Carter tries to hyperextend the knee of Vincent with a kick to the kneecap. Vincent hops back to avoid it. A welt begins to form under Vincent Stevenss eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Carter.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Vincent Stevens connects with numerous jabs to the face of Gabe Carter. Vincent Stevens swaying back and forth with Balanco plants his hand to the ground behind him and spins with a Martelo do Chao kick connecting to the ribs of Gabe. Stevens parries Carters jab and connect with a cross. Vincent Stevens swaying back and forth with Balanco is caught flush on the chin putting him to the ground. Vincent Stevens immediately moves to crouch and launches a Martelo de Negativa to the head of an incoming Carter. Vincent Stevens gets back to his feet to continue dancing. Vincent Stevens swaying back and forth with Balanco stops and throws a reverse head kick decoy followed by a Martelo em Pe to the head with the opposite leg rocking Carter and backing him up. Stevens stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up.Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Stevens swaying back and forth with Balanco spins at his opponent with a Martelo Rotado missing but continues on with a second Martelo Rotado connecting hard to the head of "Late Bloomer" Gabe connects with a strong right hook. Round 5 Carter hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Stevens works to Gabes back while standing. Stevens throws a couple of outside shots until Carter is able to work his way back to the clinch. Vincent takes Gabes back standing. Gabe Carter isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Vincent lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Gabe Carter to release. Gabe connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
