Round 1 A welt begins to form under Jays eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Firmin. Jay moves in to press the action, but Aldrich Firmin lands a heavy back kick. Firmin tries to hyperextend the knee of Jay Haynes with a kick to the kneecap. Jay Haynes hops back to avoid it. Jay connects with a strong body shot combo. Aldrich throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Haynes. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Jay catches a leg kick and fires a hard punch to the head dropping Aldrich. Jay stands over Aldrich Firmin, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Aldrich Firmin is able to grab an arm and pull Jay into his guard. Haynes attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. Firmin slips out of it at the last moment. Jay Haynes attempts to pass Aldrich Firmins guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Firmin attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Aldrich Firmin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jay Haynes lays into Aldrich with some strong shots forcing Aldrich to give up mount position. Jay Haynes maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Firmin swaying back and forth with Balanco plants front foot while throwing hands and head to the ground like a cartwheel sending the back foot up and over connecting to the head of Haynes but the strike is partially blocked. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Jay escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Aldrich Firmin swaying back and forth with Balanco swings and fakes a Pisao kick but instead attacks low with a Chapa Baixa kick to the knee of Jay. Jay Haynes parries Aldrich Firmins jab and connect with a cross. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 Aldrich Firmin is hit with two hard punches to his face. Aldrich Firmin laughs off the punches. Aldrich swaying back and forth with Balanco plants his hand to the ground behind him and spins with a Martelo do Chao kick connecting to the ribs of Jay Haynes. Jay Haynes hits an uppercut to the head of Aldrich Firmin followed by a hard hook. Firmin swaying back and forth with Balanco plants front foot while throwing hands and head to the ground like a cartwheel sending the back foot up and over connecting to the head of Jay Haynes. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Jay connects with a hard right hand putting Aldrich on the mat. Jay goes down with him into side control. Haynes slides his knee across the body of Aldrich Firmin and takes full mount. Aldrich Firmin shifts his head and hips to keep Jay Haynes off balance and unable to land strikes. Firmin gets pummeled by the fists of Jay. Firmin gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Aldrich Firmin carefully protects himself from Jay Hayness strikes. Jay Haynes peppers shot to the head of Aldrich Firmin looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Aldrich Firmin is hand playing well. The round comes to an end.
