Round 2 Frye connects with a series of punches forcing Ian into a clinch. Cody works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Frye takes Stanleys back standing. Ian Stanley isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Frye lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Ian Stanley to release. Cody blocks a strong high kick from Ian and counters with a devastating left hook. Cody blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. Stanley tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. The fighters circle each other. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Ian reaches down and trips Frye with a beautiful ankle pick. Ian dives into his guard. Cody Frye dodges some ground strikes from Ian Stanley, and sends a few back of his own. Round 4 Stanley connects with numerous jabs to the face of Cody. Frye throws a hard leg kick but is checked by Ian. Ian Stanley winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Cody Frye pushes away from Ian Stanley and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg. Ian Stanley feints a takedown attempt and connects with a left hook dropping Cody Frye. Ian Stanley dives into guard.Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Cody Frye connects with a strong right hook. Frye slips a cross from Stanley and lands jab cross to the body. Frye lands a outside leg kick that causes Stanley to back up. Frye connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Ian hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. Cody throws a kick to the midsection of Ian Stanley. Cody Frye lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Ian circling away. Cody pummels Stanley with a series of rapid fire fists. Round 5 comes to a close.
