Round 1 Frye lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Izan Lopez eats a strong cross as Frye moves into the clinch. Izan Lopez works Frye into the cage from the clinch. Izan Lopez presses his head under Codys chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Lopez works to Fryes back while standing. Lopez throws a couple of outside shots until Frye is able to work his way back to the clinch. Cody takes Izans back standing. Izan Lopez isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Cody lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Izan Lopez to release. Cody is staggered by a jab to the chin. A welt begins to form under Fryes eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Izan. Frye dodges a jab and clinches with Izan Lopez, delivering a knee as he does so. Lopez is met with a cross and a liver shot that staggers him. Cody Frye explodes forward with a flurry punches that leaves Lopez crumpled on the canvas.
