Round 1 Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Jussi Virtanen wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Berlinger. Dominik Berlinger takes a few knees to the body while under "Jays" side control. Jussi Virtanen drops some good elbows to the face of "Zombie " forcing him to give up his back. "Zombie " slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Berlinger is hit with a jab and taken down with a strong trip takedown. Jussi Virtanen is able to push to half guard. "Jay" is able to slip into mount from the half guard. "Zombie " gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Berlinger starts to wiggle out of back control, Jussi lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Both fighters begin to exchange "Jay" catches Dominik with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Dominik gather himself. Dominik says he is ok and the fight continues. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. Round 2 A lazy leg kick from Berlinger is caught by "Jay" who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Berlinger. Jussi stands over Dominik, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Dominik is able to grab an arm and pull Jussi into his guard. Virtanen strikes to the body of "Zombie " from in guard, opening "Zombie " up for a headshot which bruises his brow. Jussi drops a few strong punches, opening up Dominik Berlingers guard, giving him a chance to pass to mount. "Jay" lands a double punch to the head of Berlinger. "Zombie " gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Jussi Virtanen lays into Dominik Berlinger with some strong shots forcing Dominik Berlinger to give up mount position. Jussi Virtanen throws some outside strikes at Berlinger. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Jussi throws a leg kick. Berlinger shin checks the kick. He then leaps up to land a crushing knee strike to the chin of Jussi. Jussi stumbles back. "Jay" connects with a hard punch making Berlinger bring him in to a tight clinch. Virtanen ducks under to the back of "Zombie " and hops up getting both hooks in. Virtanen applies a deep choke. "Zombie " fights off the hands and spins around back into the clinch. Berlinger places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Dominik takes the back of Virtanen who works for a kimura. Dominik pulls his arm out of the hold and push Virtanen away. Berlinger connects with a jab, plants his left hand on the ground and pushes up smashing Jussi Virtanens head with a cartwheel kick. "Jay" tries to find his distance but Dominik Berlinger is able to land two looping hooks that stun "Jay", who warily backs away. Berlinger throws a kick to the midsection of Virtanen. Berlinger lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Jussi Virtanen. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Dominik throws a cross that easily dodged by Jussi. "Zombie " connects with a brutal kick to the liver of "Jay" who falls to the ground. "Zombie " waves him back to his feet. Dominik Berlinger fires a haymaker but misses spinning himself around. Virtanen quickly takes his back. "Jay" works his arm around the neck of Dominik Berlinger attempting to get a tight rear naked choke but Dominik Berlinger hand fights well. Dominik Berlinger slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Jussi connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Dominik Berlinger. A double-leg shot is stuffed initially by "Zombie ", but "Jay" is able to muscle through for a takedown. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Berlinger dodges a series of strikes from Jussi and counters with a body shot and cross. Berlinger then backs up and wags a finger at Jussi. Berlinger performs and axe kick but Jussi catches the leg as it comes down. Jussi drives forward taking Berlinger down to the ground. Virtanen attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Zombie " slips out of it at the last moment. "Zombie " moves to half guard then is able to grab a butterfly guard, eventually working to standing.Round 5 comes to a close.
