Round 1 Julien connects with numerous jabs to the face of Eric Clevenger. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A wild hook from Abel is ducked by Eric who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Julien Abel lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Eric. Julien Abel then switch kicks Eric on the opposing rib. Eric Clevenger is staggered by a jab to the chin. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Abel directs the head of Clevenger leading to a stiff knee to the face. Julien Abel escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Abel dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Eric Clevenger. Abel lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Eric Clevenger. The fighters circle each other. Eric throws a hard jab but Abel throws a cross right over the top that knocks Eric to the ground. Julien Abel kicks at the thighs of Eric Clevenger. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Eric circles to the right. Abel hits a hard spinning back kick to the body. Both fighters begin to exchange Abel catches "The punisher" with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets "The punisher" gather himself. "The punisher" says he is ok and the fight continues. Julien Abel lands a double jab. Julien lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles "The punisher". Julien then switch kicks "The punisher" on the opposing rib. "The punisher" throws a cross that easily dodged by Julien Abel. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 4 Abel circles away from Clevenger, landing strong kicks to the lead leg. "The punisher" is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Julien Abel lands multiple inside leg kicks that have "The punisher" circling away. Abel connects with a hard jab as Eric attempts a wide outside hook. Abel just misses with a head kick, grazing Clevengers skull. Julien Abel lands a solid kick to the inside thigh of Clevenger. Round 4 is over.
Round 5 Eric Clevenger lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Julien. Abel gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Julien carefully protects himself from Eric Clevengers strikes. Julien Abel slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Julien connects with a brutal kick to the liver of Clevenger who falls to the ground. Julien waves him back to his feet. Julien Abel lands multiple inside leg kicks that have Eric circling away. Both fighters move in to strike but miss their marks. As they jockey for position in the clinch Julien Abel wins the momentum battle and falls into side control on top of Eric Clevenger. The round comes to an end.
