Round 1 Ray connects with a series of punches forcing Tonto Acuna into a clinch. Ray Rogers gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Ray dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Acuna standing over him. Tonto stands over Ray, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Ray is able to grab an arm and pull Tonto into his guard. Ray Rogers dodges some ground strikes from Tonto, and sends a few back of his own. A strong chopping strike hits Tonto Acuna across the face. Tonto Acuna lands a series of return strikes. Ray connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Ray lands a stiff elbow while on his back. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Rogers connects with jab cross combination. Ray circles "The Fool", landing jabs at will. Rogers circles Tonto, mixing jabs with body shots. Ray lands a double jab. Rogers connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "The Fool" throws a hard jab but Rogers throws a cross right over the top that knocks "The Fool" to the ground. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Rogers dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Rogers grabs a single leg and pushes "The Fool" to the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for positional control. Rogers switches to a double leg but "The Fool" does a good job of keeping his base. Ray lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Ray Rogers works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Tonto Acuna takes the back of Rogers who works for a kimura. Tonto Acuna pulls his arm out of the hold and push Rogers away. Ray throws a hard jab but Tonto Acuna throws a cross right over the top rocking Ray. Tonto throws a push kick. Ray shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into "The Fools" nose.
Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "The Fool" works Ray Rogers into the cage from the clinch. "The Fool" presses his head under Ray Rogerss chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "The Fool" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Tonto drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. "The Fool" pushes down Ray Rogerss leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Tonto Acuna presses his foot onto the thigh of Ray Rogers to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Ray gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Rogers starts to wiggle out of back control, Tonto lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Ray Rogers connects with a strong body shot combo. Ray Rogers dives in for a takedown but the momentum of the attempt ends in a scramble back to their feet. Both fighters begin to exchange Tonto Acuna catches Ray Rogers with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Ray Rogers gather himself. Ray Rogers says he is ok and the fight continues. Ray connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. The round comes to an end.
