Mark Whelan escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Horton feints and follows up with a hard cross. "The Real Deal" stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark. Horton connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Hank Horton lands a devastating overhand right on "The Real Deal". Mark Whelan tries to find his distance but Horton is able to land two looping hooks that stun Mark Whelan, who warily backs away. Mark Whelan is sent crashing to the mat by a powerful right hook. Hank kicks at the thighs of Mark Whelan. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Hank blocks a tight hook from Mark Whelan and counters with a shovel punch and cross that has Mark Whelan stumbling backwards. Hank stalks him across the canvas. Hank Horton ducks and weaves through a quick combo from Mark Whelan and knocks him back with a shovel punch to the jaw. Mark connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Hank connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Mark Whelan hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. Hank Horton connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "The Real Deal". The round comes to an end.
Round 3 Whelan connects with a strong body shot combo. Hank connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Whelan hunts down his opponent and throws 2 heavy haymakers that get nothing but air. Horton slips a cross from Mark Whelan and lands an uppercut to the liver. Mark circles Horton, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Horton counters a jab with a stiff uppercut. Hank circles Mark Whelan, landing jabs at will. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 "The Real Deal" is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. Hank Horton falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. Whelan fires elbows off his back to the top of the head of Hank Horton. Hank takes advantage of a mental laps from "The Real Deal" and moves into full mount. "The Real Deal" gets pummeled by the fists of Hank. "The Real Deal" gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Horton peppers Mark with several shots to the face. Whelan starts to wiggle out of back control, Hank lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Whelan directs the head of Hank Horton leading to a stiff knee to the face. Mark Whelan breaks away from the clinch while delivering a knee. A lazy leg kick from Mark Whelan is caught by Horton who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Mark Whelan. Hank hovers over Whelan pushing his legs to the side and throwing punches down at his body and head. Hank throws the leg aside and takes side control. Round 4 comes to a close.

Hank tries to move to half guard but Whelan uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Hank Horton takes advantage of a mental laps from Mark Whelan and moves into full mount. Whelan gets pummeled by the fists of Horton. Whelan gives up his back in an attempt to escape, but doesn't quite make it. Horton tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Whelan starts to wiggle out of back control, Hank Horton lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Whelan directs the head of Horton leading to a stiff knee to the face. Hank grabs the plum and pulls Whelans face towards a powerful knee which is blocked. Hank lets go of the hold and lands a hook. Horton parries "The Real Deals" jab and lands a hook that floors Mark Whelan. Mark thrusts his leg into Hortons knee while grounded. The bell signals the end of round 5.
