Round 1 "Grizzled Sphinx" circles Ed Elkins, mixing jabs with body shots. Christophe Gautier stuffs a takedown but is backed into a corner and must slide into guard to avoid being picked up. Ed dodges a few strikes from Christophe and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Two large hammerfists forces Gautier to attempt to shift away from "Ass To Mouth" which give "Ass To Mouth" the opportunity to move to half guard. Ed Elkins attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Christophe Gautier gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Ed Elkins tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Christophe tries to scramble out of half guard, but Ed Elkins takes his back during it. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Ed circles Gautier, landing jabs and crosses at will. A single-leg attempt is well defended by Christophe. Elkins stands up, lifting the leg of Christophe and executing a trip takedown. Ed knocks the wind out of Christophe Gautier with a strong elbow strike to the abdomen. Christophe pulls Elkins tight in his guard. Elkins takes advantage of this by connecting with few strong piston shots followed by a huge outside hook. Elkins finishes Christophe off with a double axehandle to the face.
