Round 1 Anderson keeps Pavlo Panin at a distance with some well timed jabs. Pavlo Panin presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Anderson, aggressively pulling guard. Panin goes for a kimura from the bottom, but "The Anarchist" slips out at the last second. Pavlo Panin gets his arm underneath the neck of Alex Anderson while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head. Pavlo Panin applies pressure forcing Alex Anderson to tumble over giving Pavlo Panin mount. Panin maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Panin punishes Alex Anderson with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. "The Anarchist" is hit with two hard punches to his face. "The Anarchist" laughs off the punches. Alex Anderson throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Panin puts Alex Anderson on the mat giving his back up. Panin begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Alex rolls to being mounted instead. Alex Anderson shifts his head and hips to keep Panin off balance and unable to land strikes. Alex gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Round 2 is over.
Round 3 Pavlo Panin keeps Alex Anderson at a distance with some well timed jabs. Pavlo Panin narrowly dodges a cross from "The Anarchist", but falls catching him in his guard. Pavlo Panin starts to lock a triangle. Alex Anderson postures up and starts to stand up. Pavlo Panin lands a stiff upkick, slumping Alex Anderson back into his guard. Pavlo works to butterfly guard. He shifts his weight to a side and bolsters to the stand up position. Pavlo snaps back the head of Anderson with a stiff jab. Pavlo presses forward and is able to jump up and grab onto Alex, aggressively pulling guard. Pavlo Panin sets in an omaplata, forcing "The Anarchist" to roll through, giving Pavlo Panin side control. Pavlo lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Round 3 comes to a close.
Round 4 Alex connects with a right that puts Pavlo Panin off balance tumbling to the mat, as Alex towers over him. Alex Anderson kicks at the legs of Pavlo and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Pavlo to stand. Pavlo Panin parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to that midsection that drops him to the floor. Alex grabs a foot and kicks at Pavlo Panins thighs. He then backs off and Pavlo Panin stands back up. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Anderson works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Panin attempts a knee but is taken down by a basic trip. "The Anarchist" lands in half guard. Alex slams his knee into Pavlos ribs. Panin is able to work a leg through from the bottom to attain full guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 5 Pavlo connects with a series of punches forcing Anderson into a clinch. Pavlo Panin gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Pavlo decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Anderson with him. "The Anarchist" dodges a few strikes from Pavlo Panin and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. Pavlo locks a triangle but "The Anarchist" defends well. Pavlo decides to let go of the hold. Alex tries to move to half guard but Panin uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Panin gets his arm underneath the neck of Alex Anderson while putting his opposite arm on the back of the head and applies pressure. Alex Anderson taps out from too much pain.
