Round 1
"The Soviet Superstar" lands a double jab. Leon takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Leon Gosselin throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Markov puts Leon Gosselin on the mat giving his back up. "The Soviet Superstar" peppers Leon Gosselin with several shots to the face. Leon starts to wiggle out of back control, Markov lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Leon Gosselin throws a cross that easily dodged by Markov Petrov. Markov fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Leon Gosselin to the cage. Leon Gosselin swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Leon throws a cross that easily dodged by Petrov. Leon lands a double jab. Gosselin throws a cross that easily dodged by Petrov. Petrov takes Leon down to the mat with a good double leg takedown, leading to him standing over Leon. Round 2 comes to a close.

Round 3
Leon Gosselin attempts a takedown, but Markov clumsily falls down without much provocation. Gosselin attempts to drop a fist on Markov Petrov, but misses and lands in his guard. Leon takes advantage of a mental laps from "The Soviet Superstar" and moves into full mount. Petrov gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Leon Gosselin tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Leon Gosselin lands a series of heavy punches forcing Petrov to roll to his back, giving Leon Gosselin mount. Round 3 comes to a close.

Round 4
Gosselin narrowly dodges a cross from "The Soviet Superstar", but falls catching him in his guard. Gosselin attempts a few a shots from the guard, but gets mounted for his troubles. Leon Gosselin gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Leon Gosselin starts to wiggle out of back control, Markov Petrov lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Leon Gosselin is hit with a jab and then taken down with a strong trip takedown. Markov Petrov attempts to pass Leon Gosselins guard, and does so, but receives multiple strikes in the attempt. Leon gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Markov Petrov peppers Leon Gosselin with several shots to the face. "The Soviet Superstar" lays into Leon with some strong shots forcing Leon to give up mount position. Round 4 is finished.

Round 5
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Markov Petrov works Leon Gosselin into the cage from the clinch. Markov Petrov presses his head under Leons chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Gosselin recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Markov connects with a right that puts Leon Gosselin off balance tumbling to the mat, as Markov towers over him. Markov Petrov stands over Gosselin, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Gosselin is able to grab an arm and pull Markov Petrov into his guard. "The Soviet Superstar" sits up in Leon Gosselins open guard and spins to an leg lock. Leon is able to gator-roll out of it and make it to standing. Leon Gosselin narrowly dodges a cross from Markov, but falls catching him in his guard. Gosselin attempts an armbar. Markov Petrov time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Leons guard. Leon Gosselin gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard.Round 5 comes to a close.
