Round 1 Faoro connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Faoro winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Gabriel executes a single leg giving him the back of Faoro. Gabriel tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Jorge Faoro slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. The fighters circle each other. Gabriel gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Gabriel Favre connects with a series of punches forcing Faoro into a clinch. Favre receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Jorge. Gabriel escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Gabriel Favre is hit with two hard punches to his face. Gabriel Favre laughs off the punches. Faoro takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Faoro attempts a takedown but slips, and Favre backs away. Favre is standing over Faoro. Gabriel Favre lays into Faoros thighs with some well timed kicks while Faoro is grounded. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Jorge Faoro connects with numerous jabs to the face of Gabriel. A wild hook from Gabriel Favre is ducked by Jorge who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Jorge winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Jorge snaps back the head of Gabriel Favre with a stiff jab. Gabriel throws a cross that easily dodged by Jorge Faoro. Gabriel attempts a takedown, but Jorge clumsily falls down without much provocation. Round 3 is finished.
Round 4 Faoro ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Gabriel Favre to the mat, and his back. Jorge Faoro is working a furious pace on Gabriel, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Gabriel starts to wiggle out of back control, Jorge lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Gabriel Favre catches a kick from Jorge and drops down for a leg lock. Jorge attempts to spin out of it but the lock is still tight. Gabriel Favre moves to a kneebar. Jorge fight through the pain and get to side control. Jorge slides his knee across the body of Gabriel and takes full mount. Jorge maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Gabriel attempts to buck Faoro off from mount but Faoro keeps his base and maintains position. The bell signals the end of round 4.
Round 5 Jorge sends Gabriel Favre to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Jorge drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Gabriel lands an omoplata but Jorge rolls out of it leading both fighters to a stand up. Favre attempts a lazy shot, which Jorge sprawls, eventually taking Favre back. Faoro is working a furious pace on Gabriel Favre, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. Gabriel tries to explode out the backdoor but Jorge Faoro sinks in both hooks. Gabriel tries once more, but Jorge Faoro secures a bulldog choke. Gabriel is forced to tap.
