Round 1 Arnmundur winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Leon catches a leg kick from Arnmundur Heimirsson, and puts him on the mat. Leon Long drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Heimirsson gives up guard avoiding a powerful hammer fist. He now has half guard. "Deion" attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Heimirsson gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. "Arn" holds the head of Long close to avoid shots. Long slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. "Deion" presses his foot onto the thigh of "Arn" to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Arnmundur connects with a jab cross combination. Leon executes a single leg giving him the back of "Arn". "Arn" eats a few stiff shots from Leon Long, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. "Arn" pulls Long close to avoid a flurry of strikes. Leon is pulled in tight, and then switched over on his back. "Arn" is now caught in Leons guard. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Arnmundur Heimirsson parries Longs jab and connect with a cross. Heimirsson keeps Leon at a distance with some well timed jabs. Heimirsson hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Heimirsson connects with a hard jab as Long attempts a wide outside hook. Leon Long hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Long wraps around Arnmundurs waist, and drags him to his back, taking side control The bell signals the end of round 3.
Round 4 "Deion" stuffs a shot from Heimirsson and hits him with an outside body shot. Heimirsson gives up on the takedown and pulls guard. "Deion" drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Leon takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Arnmundurs guard. It doesn't pay off as Arnmundur makes his way to standing. The fighters circle each other. Arnmundur connects with a jab cross combination. "Deion" connects with a hard right hand putting Arnmundur on the mat. "Deion" goes down with him into side control. Heimirsson takes a few knees to the body while under Longs side control. Long postures up and lands a couple of strong elbows to the head of Heimirsson. Heimirsson rolls away from Long but Long follows him and takes his back. Round 4 comes to a close.
Round 5 Heimirsson connects with numerous jabs to the face of Long. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Long drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Heimirsson sets a guillotine choke but Long slips out at the last moment. Long is now caught in guard. Arnmundur attempts a switch from the guard, but a scramble takes place getting both fighters to their feet. Leon hits a lead uppercut and follows with a hard hook to the head of Arnmundur Heimirsson. Arnmundur circles "Deion", mixing jabs with body shots. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range.Round 5 comes to a close.
