Round 1 Arturo narrowly dodges a cross from Hector, but falls catching him in his guard. "The Chin Inspector " pushes down Marcoss leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. "The Saint" holds the head of Rios close to avoid shots. Rios slams shots to his opponents ribs and throws hard elbows to the thighs. Arturo Marcos snatches a kimura lock but "The Chin Inspector " spins around quickly to the other side holding dominant side control. Hector Rios lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "The Saint" tries to get back to full guard, but has to settle with half guard. Arturo Marcos tries to scramble out of half guard, but Hector Rios takes his back during it. Hector Rios is working a furious pace on Arturo Marcos, intermingling strikes with positional dominance at will. "The Saint" starts to wiggle out of back control, Hector lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 A welt begins to form under "The Saints" eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Hector Rios. Arturo is caught with a double leg takedown, forcing him to give side control. Arturo Marcos takes a few knees to the body while under Hector Rioss side control. "The Saint" gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Hector Rios peppers shot to the head of Marcos looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Marcos is hand playing well. Round 3 Hector Rios connects with a strong body shot combo. Arturo Marcos connects with a hard punch making Hector Rios bring him in to a tight clinch. Arturo places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. Rios drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Arturo sets a guillotine choke but Rios slips out at the last moment. Round 4 Hector attempts to press in but "The Saint" uses a inside reaping to put Hector on the canvas. "The Saint" hops to side control. Arturo slides his knee across the body of Hector and takes full mount. Arturo Marcos punishes Hector with a series of strikes from the mount. Rios gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Arturo Marcos peppers Rios with several shots to the face. Giving up his back, Hector Rios panics and gives up mount instead. The round comes to an end.
Round 5 Hector Rios connects with a hard jab as "The Saint" attempts a wide outside hook. Hector Rios locks around the waist of Arturo. He sneaks his foot behind Arturo Marcoss and trips him to the floor, taking side control. Hector lands a few stiff elbows from side control. "The Chin Inspector " drops some good elbows to the face of Arturo Marcos forcing him to give up his back. Arturo carefully protects himself from Hector Rioss strikes. Hector peppers shot to the head of Arturo looking for an opening to apply a rear naked choke but Arturo is hand playing well. Round 5 is over.
