Round 1 Brett Jenkins circles Mauricio, mixing jabs and leg kicks. The fighters circle each other. Carvalho takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Jenkins attempts a takedown, but Mauricio Carvalho clumsily falls down without much provocation. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Brett plows through Mauricio with a driving double leg takedown. Mauricio Carvalho is hit with a series of powerful punches while utilizing the guard. Brett takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Mauricios guard. It doesn't pay off as Carvalho makes his way to standing. Brett circles Mauricio Carvalho, mixing jabs and leg kicks. Carvalho is staggered by a jab to the chin. Mauricio Carvalho is brought to his back by a well executed takedown from Brett. Brett now has side control. "The Future" drops some hammer fists on Mauricio Carvalho. Jenkins slides his knee across the body of Carvalho and takes full mount. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 "The Future" connects with a strong right hook. Brett catches a leg kick from Mauricio Carvalho, and puts him on the mat. Carvalho attempts an armbar. Jenkins time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into Mauricios guard. "The Future" defends a triangle attempt, throwing Carvalhos straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Mauricio Carvalho is able to hold him to half guard. Brett tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Mauricio tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Brett Jenkins is able to slip into mount from the half guard. The round comes to an end.
Round 4 Brett connects with a strong right hook. Jenkins fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Mauricio Carvalho. Brett works Mauricio into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Brett presses his head into Carvalhos chest, forcing him to the ground. Jenkins takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Mauricios guard. It doesn't pay off as Mauricio makes his way to standing. Brett Jenkins narrowly dodges a cross from Mauricio Carvalho, but falls catching him in his guard. Brett Jenkins shifts his hips to get better position in the guard. Brett Jenkins lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Brett Jenkins reachs over Carvalhos shoulder and sets in a kimura. Mauricio Carvalho tries to escape, but cannot. He has to tap out.
