Round 2 "DBA" connects with a series of punches forcing Salvador Vargas into a clinch. Chava Delgado works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. Salvador Vargas drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Chava sets a guillotine choke but Salvador Vargas slips out at the last moment. Salvador Vargas is now caught in guard. Chava lands a stiff elbow while on his back. A strong chopping strike hits Vargas across the face. Vargas lands a series of return strikes. Salvador Vargas tries to pass guard but Chava Delgado stops him with a well timed punch. "DBA" attempts an omoplata and almost has it sunk but Salvador is able to survive any major damage. "DBA" cannot finish the hold and decides to stand up. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Chava Delgado fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Vargas. Chava Delgado gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Delgado decides to abandon the clinch by pulling guard and bringing Salvador Vargas with him. "DBA" lands a stiff elbow while on his back. Chava goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Salvador slips out at the last second. While caught in the guard, Salvador Vargas opens up a cut on Delgado with a devestating elbow. Chava sinks a kimura, but cannot finish. He settles for a switch into mount. Round 3 is over.
