Manu takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Hamiltons guard. It doesn't pay off as Nelson Hamilton makes his way to standing. Nelson Hamilton takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Hamilton dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Manu standing over him. Nelson Hamilton thrusts his leg into Manus knee while grounded. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 2 Nelson Hamilton narrowly dodges a cross from Manu, but falls catching him in his guard. Manu pushes down Hamiltons leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Manu is able to slip into mount from the half guard. Martinez maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Nelson Hamilton gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Martinez tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Hamilton starts to wiggle out of back control, Manu Martinez lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Manu stuffs a shot from Nelson and lands some powerful outside hammerfists, eventually taking side mount. Manu slides his knee across the body of Nelson and takes full mount. Manu Martinez secures his position. Nelson Hamilton gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Martinez tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it.
