Round 1 Chelo throws a push kick. Sammy Bell shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Chelo Sandovals nose.
Sammy connects with a hard right hand putting Chelo on the mat. Sammy goes down with him into side control. Chelo Sandoval takes a few knees to the body while under Sammy Bells side control. Sammy Bell drops some good elbows to the face of Chelo Sandoval forcing him to give up his back. Sammy Bell peppers Sandoval with several shots to the face. Sammy lands a series of heavy punches forcing Chelo Sandoval to roll to his back, giving Sammy mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Sammy Bell executes a single leg giving him the back of Chelo. Sandoval tries to explode out the backdoor but Sammy sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Sandoval falls flat to protect himself. Chelo Sandoval slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Chelo attempts a takedown, but cannot finish it. Sammy Bell takes advantage of the moment taking side control. Sammy slides his knee across the body of Sandoval and takes full mount. Chelo Sandoval lands a good elbow as Sammy lowers his torso. Sammy Bell executes a double hand slap to the ears of Chelo. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 Chelo hits an uppercut to the head of Sammy followed by a hard hook. Bell hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Bell drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Sandoval sets a guillotine choke but Bell slips out at the last moment. Bell is now caught in guard. Chelo Sandoval backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. The fighters circle each other. Sammy hits an uppercut to the head of Sandoval followed by a hard hook. A shot catches Chelo off balance and off guard. Sammy spears him and attains half guard.Round 3 comes to a close.
