Round 1 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Stevenson receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Malcolm Moreno. Malcolm fakes a shot attempt from the clinch, opening Wesley up for a flurry of hooks. Moreno circles Wesley Stevenson, mixing jabs with body shots. Wesley connects with a strong right hook. "Gears" connects with 1-2 jab hook combo and quickly steps away. Malcolm parries Stevensons jab and lands an uppercut that floors Wesley. Malcolm Moreno stands over Stevenson, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Stevenson cannot trap him in his guard and pushes him away instead. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 The fighters circle each other. Malcolm connects with a hard punch making Stevenson bring him in to a tight clinch. Malcolm Moreno drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Wesley Stevenson sets a guillotine choke but Malcolm Moreno slips out at the last moment. Malcolm Moreno is now caught in guard. Moreno backs out of the guard, and chooses to stand with his opponent, allowing him to his feet. Wesley Stevenson connects with a series of punches forcing Moreno into a clinch. Wesley Stevenson connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Malcolm Moreno is dazed on the mat. Wesley Stevenson kicks at the legs of Moreno and then asks him to stand up. The referee tells Moreno to stand. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Moreno dodges a series of strikes from Wesley Stevenson and counters with a body shot and cross. Moreno then backs up and wags a finger at Wesley Stevenson. Wesley hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Wesley Stevenson dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Malcolm. Wesley Stevenson lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The round comes to an end.
