Round 1 Stevenson hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Jose Aguilar connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Wesley. The fighters circle each other. Jose parries Wesley Stevensons jab and connect with a cross. Wesley Stevenson is staggered by a jab to the chin. Aguilar connects with numerous jabs to the face of Wesley. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Aguilar fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Stevenson to the cage. Stevenson swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Wesley is caught off guard by a kneebar attempt from Jose Aguilar. Wesley struggles out of the lock and attempts to scramble. Jose Aguilar is too quick and lunges forward to take half guard. Jose Aguilar attempts to sink a neck crank from half guard. It does not appear to be tight enough as Wesley gives a thumbs up to the referee until he finally struggles out. Jose Aguilar slips out of half guard and into side control. Aguilar drops some hammer fists on Wesley. Stevenson sweeps over Aguilar and quickly obtains mount position. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Stevenson throws a cross that easily dodged by Aguilar. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. Jose ducks under a loopy hoop, taking Wesley Stevenson to the mat, and his back. Jose Aguilar begins to look for a rear naked choke, but Stevenson rolls to being mounted instead. Wesley lands a good elbow as Jose Aguilar lowers his torso. Aguilar secures his position. The round comes to an end.
