Round 1
Ouellet keeps Roy at a distance with some well timed jabs. Matthew lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Calvin Roy. Ouellet parries Roys jab and connect with a cross. Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. Calvin Roy lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. Round 1 is over.

Round 2
Matthew pressures his opponent into clinching. Matthew works Roy into the cage from the clinch. Matthew presses his head under Calvin Roys chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. Matthew Ouellet takes the back of Calvin Roy who works for a kimura. Matthew Ouellet pulls his arm out of the hold and push Calvin Roy away. Ouellet blocks a hook cross combo but is pushed backward. "The Axe Kicker" tries to press the action but is met with a hook, uppercut that keeps him at bay. Roy winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Roy weaves through a jab-cross combo but is met with a strong knee. The round comes to an end.

Round 3
Roy dodges a jab and clinches with Ouellet, delivering a knee as he does so. Calvin Roy peppers Matthew Ouellet with a flurry of punches that cannot be kept up with. Matthew Ouellet parries a jab but is caught by a strong leg kick. Ouellet chips away at Calvin with a series of kicks to the legs. Matthew does a good job to circle away from Calvin but becomes too predictable and Calvin lands a switch kick to "Matty the Hippys" ribs. Matthew Ouellet misses with an axe kick that has Calvin Roy back up. Ouellet continually moves away from "The Axe Kicker", who stalks him patiently, occasionally landing a jab or cross. The bell signals the end of round 3.
