Round 1 Both fighters begin to exchange Strickland catches Jiang with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Jiang gather himself. Jiang says he is ok and the fight continues. Strickland lands a devastating overhand right on Jiang. Strickland throws a push kick. Yu Jiang shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Arthurs nose.
Yu throws a powerful left hook, but is met with a strong jab from Arthur. Strickland hits an uppercut to the head of Jiang followed by a hard hook. Jiang plows through Arthur with a driving double leg takedown. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 A welt begins to form under Arthurs eye after a strong cross-hook landed from Jiang. Arthur Strickland connects with a hard punch making Jiang bring him in to a tight clinch. Yu takes the back of Arthur who works for a kimura. Yu pulls his arm out of the hold and push Arthur away. Strickland hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Jiang drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Arthur sets a guillotine choke but Jiang slips out at the last moment. Jiang is now caught in guard. Strickland begins to posture on his side. Yu lands a couple of outside hooks and Strickland returns to the guard. A kimura attempt is defended well by Yu Jiang and he is able to sneak his leg through Stricklands loose guard, to half guard. Yu Jiang presses his foot onto the thigh of Arthur Strickland to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Yu Jiang attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Arthur Strickland for his troubles. Jiang wraps the arm of Arthur Strickland behind his back and traps it. Jiang pounds away with shots to the face. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Jiang eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Strickland. Arthur Strickland lands a hook to the body. Arthur tries to hyperextend the knee of Yu Jiang with a kick to the kneecap. Yu Jiang hops back to avoid it. Strickland connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Arthur Strickland takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Yu Jiang hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Yu hits the floor after a disgusting uppercut from Strickland.
