Round 1
Assis dodges a series of strikes from Barrett and counters with a body shot and cross. Assis then backs up and wags a finger at Barrett. The fighters circle each other. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. The fighters circle each other. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" is on the receiving end of a good punching combination from Barrett. Barrett gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Round 1 comes to a close.

Round 2
Barrett hits a hard jab but misses with the follow up straight. Belfort gets hit with a strong punch, putting him to the mat, but he recovers just in time to give up his back. Assis tries to explode out the backdoor but Mark Barrett sinks in both hooks, continually landing outside strikes. Assis falls flat to protect himself. "Thicker Than Oatmeal" slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Assis throws a few jabs at "Kumite Bloodthirster" that miss the mark. Mark Barrett connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of "Thicker Than Oatmeal". Assis Belfort throws a few jabs at Mark that miss the mark. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 3
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Belfort swims to double underhooks and turns Barrett but Barrett gets double underhooks of his own and rotates Belfort right back into the cage. Mark works Assis Belfort into a corner, swimming for double underhooks. Mark presses his head into Assis Belforts chest, forcing him to the ground. While caught in the guard, Mark Barrett opens up a cut on Assis with a devestating elbow. An attempt to pull a switch is blocked by "Kumite Bloodthirster" but both fighters end up on their side. Both fighters scramble to a stand up. The fighters circle each other. Barrett starts to put on the pressure, forcing Assis Belfort back into the cage. Barrett takes advantage and clinches. Mark applies a standing armbar in the clinch to stop Belfort from performing and offense. Assis recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. The round comes to an end.
