Round 1 Jim Collins shuffles away from Eugene Coutures strikes and lands a powerful chopping kick to the lead leg. Eugene backs away, obviously feeling the affects of the kick. Eugene Couture throws a cross that easily dodged by Jim Collins. Both fighters trade shots and back away looking for the next opening. After dodging a jab-cross, Collins lands a kick to the liver of Eugene who steps back and begins to take a knee. Collins rushes forward to capitalize but Eugene stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Jim blocks a tight hook from Eugene and counters with a shovel punch and cross that has Eugene stumbling backwards. Jim stalks him across the canvas. Jim Collins connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Eugene. Eugene throws a push kick. Jim Collins shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Eugene Coutures nose.

Round 2 A running flurry from Collins is countered by a well-timed shovel punch from Eugene. Eugene follows up with a powerful kick to the midsection. Jim Collins circles to the right. Eugene Couture hits a hard spinning back kick to the body. Jim Collins dodges a series of strikes from Couture and counters with a body shot and cross. Jim Collins then backs up and wags a finger at Couture. Couture dodges a jab-cross combo from Jim Collins and connects with a front snap kick, sending Jim Collins stumbling backwards. Collins feints and follows up with a hard cross. Eugene Couture stalks forward paws away with a couple jabs missing the mark.Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Both fighters trade glancing shots continuing to find their respective range. A swift ball kick from Eugene Couture opens up Collins for a spearing double-leg takedown. The bell signals the end of round 3.
