Round 1 Powers stuffs a shot from Eric and lands several shots to his body. Eric attempts to pull guard but Powers makes it to side mount. Powers slides his knee across the body of Eric Sauer and takes full mount. Malcolm maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Sauer gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Powers tries to set in a rear naked choke, but can't quite finish it. Eric Sauer starts to wiggle out of back control, Malcolm Powers lets him escape putting them both on their feet. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Eric Sauer shoots but Malcolm Powers stuffs it, eventually working in a whizzer and landing some sharp knees that allows him to move to side mount. Powers slides his knee across the body of Eric Sauer and takes full mount. Malcolm maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Sauer gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Malcolm Powers peppers Eric Sauer with several shots to the face. Malcolm Powers lands a series of heavy punches forcing Sauer to roll to his back, giving Malcolm Powers mount. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Eric Sauer attempts a takedown but slips, and Malcolm backs away. Malcolm is standing over Eric Sauer. Malcolm stands over Eric Sauer, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Eric Sauer is able to grab an arm and pull Malcolm into his guard. Sauer begins to posture on his side. Powers lands a couple of outside hooks and Sauer returns to the guard. Malcolm takes advantage of a mental laps from Sauer and moves into full mount. Malcolm maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. Eric Sauer gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Giving up his back, Sauer panics and gives up mount instead. Powers begins to lose position so switches back to side control.Round 3 comes to a close.
