Round 1 Hampton connects with a combination and backs away from the counter combo of Abe. Lathan hits a hook to the body and follows with a power straight that misses. Cooper connects with a strong body shot combo. "7" eats a strong cross as Hampton moves into the clinch. Lathan Hampton is jockeying for position in the clinch. Lathan lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Lathan Hampton takes Coopers back standing. Lathan Hampton lifts up Cooper and dumps him on his back, taking side control. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 Abe Cooper throws a crisp jab, but Lathan Hampton slips it and moves in for the clinch. Cooper attempts a takedown but is out leveraged and taken down himself. Hampton now is in dominant side mount. Cooper takes a few knees to the body while under Hamptons side control. Lathan slides his knee across the body of Abe and takes full mount. Abe lands a good elbow as Lathan lowers his torso. Cooper attempts to buck Lathan off from mount but Lathan keeps his base and maintains position. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Lathan Hampton throws a push kick. Cooper shucks it and strikes with a overhand that crashes into Lathans nose.
"7" connects with a hard punch making Hampton bring him in to a tight clinch. Lathan lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Cooper takes Lathans back standing, but Hampton isolates an arm and locks a spinning kimura ending up in side mount. Lathan Hampton attempts to mount, but gets a few punches from Cooper for his troubles. Lathan Hampton lands a few stiff elbows from side control. Lathan Hampton traps the near arm and begins to set a kimura on the opposing arm. Abe is unable to defend and its sunk deep. He eventually taps.
