Round 1 Mikio Shinko winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Edwin stuffs a shot from "4200 Dollar Man" and hits him with a hard hook to the temple and pushes him to take his guard. Edwin Farmer drops some good punches while being caught in the guard. Shinko works for a triangle but Edwin throws Shinkos straight leg over his head and makes it to half guard. Mikio Shinko tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Edwin Farmer presses his foot onto the thigh of Shinko to get his own foot free. He successfully releases his leg and moves to side control. Edwin delivers knees to the body and sharp forearms to the head forcing "4200 Dollar Man" to turn over. Edwin takes the back. Mikio starts to wiggle out of back control, Farmer lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Shinko connects with a strong body shot combo. The round comes to an end.
Round 2 The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. A trip to the ground allows Mikio Shinko to move into the guard of Edwin. Farmer connects with several chop shots from the bottom. Edwin Farmer attempts to lock in an armbar from the guard. Mikio Shinko narrowly avoids it, but allows for Edwin Farmer to take mount. Edwin maintains mount but laying some well timed strikes. "4200 Dollar Man" bucks Edwin off and sweeps him over getting into his half guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 "4200 Dollar Man" connects with a jab cross combination. Mikio connects with a series of punches forcing Edwin Farmer into a clinch. Edwin executes a an impressive greco-roman takedown from the clinch, putting him in guard. Edwin takes a risk going for a leglock from being caught in Mikios guard. It doesn't pay off as Mikio Shinko makes his way to standing. Mikio catches a leg kick from Edwin, and puts him on the mat. Shinko tries to move to half guard but Edwin uses the opportunity to land several strikes and return to full guard. Farmer connects with some unorthodox punches from the bottom position. Mikio attempts a combination of strikes but Edwin Farmer catches a punch and moves for an armbar. Mikio defends but Edwin Farmer sets a short armbar. Mikio is forced to tap.
