Round 1 A lazy leg kick from Rasmus is caught by Arnaldo who lands a huge overhand right, flooring Rasmus. Arnaldo Benecio attempts to drop a fist on Sorenson, but misses and lands in his guard. "Event" attempts an armbar from the bottom, but Benecio slips out at the last moment. Benecio passes through Rasmuss guard into mount. Sorenson attempts to escape mount but has no luck. Arnaldo Benecio telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but Rasmus Sorenson gives up his back to stop the attempt. Sorenson eats a few stiff shots from Benecio, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Arnaldo Benecio punishes "Event" with a series of strikes from the mount. Round 1 is finished.
Round 2 Arnaldo connects with jab cross combination. Rasmus takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. Both fighters begin to exchange Benecio catches Rasmus with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Rasmus gather himself. Rasmus says he is ok and the fight continues. Arnaldo Benecio throws a few jabs at Sorenson that miss the mark. The fighters circle one another hopping in and out trying to find their range. The bell signals the end of round 2.
Round 3 Arnaldo fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Sorenson. Arnaldo Benecio works to Rasmus Sorensons back while standing. Arnaldo Benecio throws a couple of outside shots until "Event" is able to work his way back to the clinch. Sorenson works Arnaldo Benecio into the cage from the clinch. Sorenson presses his head under Arnaldos chin so he cannot defend the piston shots from either side. "Event" drops down and thrusts forward with a textbook double leg takedown. Sorenson pushes down Benecios leg, allowing him to pass guard into half guard. Arnaldo attempts to get to full guard but in the process gives up mount.Round 3 comes to a close.
