Round 1 Pat connects with a series of punches forcing "Demon" into a clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Pat Young takes Charito Martinezs back standing. Charito Martinez isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Pat Young lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Charito Martinez to release. Charito Martinez connects with a jab cross combination. Pat Young circles Martinez, mixing jabs with body shots. Pat Young throws a flurry connecting with the final punch. "Demon" is rocked and stumbles to the ground but quickly shakes it off. Young parries Martinezs jab and lands a liver shot that buckles "Demon". "Demon" rolls to his back with Young standing over him. Pat Young stands over "Demon", works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. "Demon" is able to grab an arm and pull Pat Young into his guard. Round 1 is over.
Round 2 "Demon" is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Young prepares to pounce, but "Demon" gets his bearings just in time. Pat Young stands over Charito Martinez, works his way through his open guard and lands some solid standing punches. Charito Martinez is able to grab an arm and pull Pat Young into his guard. A right hand from Charito while in guard angers "Rebel" who returns the favor with a powerful right hand. Pat passes through Charitos guard into mount. "Demon" attempts to buck Pat off from mount but Pat keeps his base and maintains position. Charito gives his back up trying to escape the mount. Young begins to look for a rear naked choke, but "Demon" rolls to being mounted instead. Young begins to lose position so switches back to side control. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
Round 3 Charito Martinez misses with an axe kick that has Pat back up. "Rebel" eats a jab,jab, then a hook from Charito Martinez. "Rebel" connects with a jab cross combination. After dodging a jab-cross, Charito lands a kick to the liver of Pat Young who steps back and begins to take a knee. Charito rushes forward to capitalize but Pat Young stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Young winds up a heavy straight but is countered by a hard counter knee to the body. Both fighters begin to exchange "Demon" catches Pat with an eye poke. The referee calls time and lets Pat gather himself. Pat says he is ok and the fight continues. "Demon" pushes away from Young and lands a strong chopping kick to the lead leg.
