Round 1 Azar Nazari connects with a series of punches forcing Whelan into a clinch. Mark receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Azar Nazari. Azar takes the back of "The Real Deal" who works for a kimura. Azar pulls his arm out of the hold and push "The Real Deal" away. Azar parries Marks jab and connect with a cross. "Bizzare" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Azar Nazari connects with a sweeping kick at the leg of Mark Whelan. "Bizzare" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. "Bizzare" lands a strong outside leg kick but is met with a counter hook from Mark that puts him on the floor. Round 1 comes to a close.
Round 2 Azar Nazari connects with a series of punches forcing "The Real Deal" into a clinch. Mark Whelan lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. Azar Nazari takes Whelans back standing. Mark Whelan isolates an arm to lock a spinning kimura but Azar Nazari lands a sharp shovel punch that forces Mark Whelan to release. Azar Nazari throws a few jabs at Mark Whelan that miss the mark. Mark Whelan connects with a strong body shot combo. A wild hook from Whelan is ducked by Nazari who lands a cross-hook to the body before backing away. Nazari connects with jab cross combination. A shot catches Mark Whelan off balance and off guard. Azar Nazari grabs him by the waist, lifts him, swings him through and slams in onto the ground. Mark Whelan scrambles well and works to guard. Round 2 is finished.
Round 3 "Bizzare" connects with a leg kick then a hook to the side of the head. Mark is hit with a jab-cross and then brutally shoved to the ground. Nazari falls into his guard, delivering a strong punch as he does so. Mark Whelan grabs the arm of Azar Nazari while in guard and holds tight eating shots to ribs. Nazari passes through Whelans guard into mount. Mark attempts to buck "Bizzare" off from mount but "Bizzare" keeps his base and maintains position. Azar Nazari telegraphs his motions for an armbar, but "The Real Deal" gives up his back to stop the attempt. Mark Whelan eats a few stiff shots from Azar Nazari, and rolls giving mount to stop the ref from ending the fight. Nazari lands a double punch to the head of Mark. The round comes to an end.
