Round 1 Gilbert is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Gilbert can continue. Shane Evans eats a stiff kick to the face. After dodging a jab-cross, Gilbert lands a kick to the liver of Evans who steps back and begins to take a knee. Gilbert rushes forward to capitalize but Evans stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. "Sugar" circles Howard, mixing jabs with body shots. Evans unleashes a flurry of punches ending with Howard out cold from a right hook.
