Round 1 Pera parries Vinnies jab and connect with a cross. "Scotty Belly" connects with a series of punches forcing "The Death Machine" into a clinch. "Scotty Belly" grabs the plum and lands a strong elbow that puts Vinnie on the floor. Acelino lays into Vinnie Nelsons thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Vinnie does so. Nelson attempts to clinch, but "Scotty Belly" connects with an uppercut to the jaw. Vinnie attempts a striking combination, but Acelino forces the clinch. Acelino Pera gets double underhooks, and unleashes unanswered knees to the midsection. Pera dodges an uppercut to the chin, though loses his balance and falls to the ground, with Vinnie Nelson standing over him. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Nelson parries a jab but is hit with a powerful knee to the midsection. Pera sends Vinnie Nelson to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. "Scotty Belly" pulls out of the guard of Vinnie Nelson, stands up, feels it out, and drops a huge right hand to the jaw of Vinnie Nelson. Pera defends a triangle attempt, throwing Vinnies straight leg over his head and makes a move for side control. Nelson is able to hold him to half guard. Acelino drops an elbow onto the forehead of Vinnie Nelson. Pera slips out of half guard and into side control. Vinnie Nelson gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. Nelson starts to wiggle out of back control, Pera lets him escape putting them both on their feet. Acelino Pera lands a strong outside leg kick and follows it up with a jab-cross combo. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Vinnie is rocked by a standing elbow strike. Nelson attempts a striking combination, but Pera forces the clinch. Nelson drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. "Scotty Belly" sets a guillotine choke but Nelson slips out at the last moment. Nelson is now caught in guard. Acelino Pera backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Vinnie Nelson fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Pera. Pera connects with a stiff knee to the chin. "The Death Machine" is dazed on the mat. "Scotty Belly" drops a powerful fist onto Vinnie Nelson. Vinnies eyes roll back into his head, and this fight is over.
