Round 1
Joao Aranha throws a cross that easily dodged by Masuno. Masayoshi sends Joao Aranha to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. Masayoshi Masuno dodges a few strikes from Joao and cuts him open with a couple of powerful elbows. A kimura attempt is defended well by Masayoshi and he is able to sneak his leg through "Piranhas" loose guard, to half guard. Masayoshi tries to pull his leg out of half guard, but no luck. Masayoshi Masuno slips out of half guard and into side control. "Piranha" gives his back up in an attempt to get out of side control. "Piranha" starts to wiggle out of back control, Masayoshi lets him escape putting them both on their feet. After dodging a jab-cross, Masayoshi Masuno lands a kick to the liver of Joao who steps back and begins to take a knee. Masayoshi Masuno rushes forward to capitalize but Joao stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.

Round 2
Joao Aranha is cut open by a standing elbow strike. The ref stops the fight. The doctor take a look at the cut and determines Joao Aranha can continue. Aranha unleashes a flurry of punches on Masayoshi Masuno. Masayoshi lands a solid kick to the front leg of "Piranha". Masayoshi Masuno weaves through a jab-cross combo but is hit with a nasty hook. Masayoshi lands a strong outside leg kick that is returned by Joao Aranha. Masuno begins a combination but Joao ducks down, picking Masunos leg. Joao lifts Masunos leg as high as he can and throws a sweeping leg kick. Round 2 is finished.

Round 3
Aranha lands a strong outside leg kick but is hit with a heavy counter hook. The fighters circle each other. Joao Aranha is caught square on the jaw putting him to the canvas, Masayoshi prepares to pounce, but Joao Aranha gets his bearings just in time. Masuno lays into "Piranhas" thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. Aranha does so. Masayoshi Masuno is hit with a jab then a hook to the body and stumbles backward. Joao Aranha tries to press the action but is met with a push kick from Masayoshi Masuno that puts him on the floor. "The Menace" dances around "Piranhas" legs and lands a powerful soccer kick to the head. Masuno lays into Joaos thighs and then backs off and tells him to stand up. "Piranha" does so. Masayoshi dodges a jab and lands a kick to the face of Aranha. Aranha is hit with a jab then hook to the body and stumbles backward. Masayoshi explodes forward with a push kick that puts Aranha on the canvas. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
