Round 1 "Cookie Monster" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Tom. Couture lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. A strong elbow forces Richard to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Tom attempts to drop a fist on Richard, but misses and lands in his guard. "Cookie Monster" goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Couture slips out at the last second. "Cookie Monster" goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Tom slips out at the last second. Renaud goes for a kimura from the bottom, but Couture slips out at the last second. Couture attempts a huge overhand right but "Cookie Monster" bucks back and switches Couture into mount. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Tom Couture parries Richards jab and connect with a cross. Richard Renaud takes a heavy kick to the arm attempting to block his head. "Cookie Monster" throws a wild punch, putting him off balance. A few well timed strikes from Tom puts "Cookie Monster" on the mat giving his back up. Tom Couture peppers "Cookie Monster" with several shots to the face. Richard slips out the back leading to both fighters standing up. Tom connects with a strong right hook. Renaud connects with a right that puts Tom off balance tumbling to the mat, as Renaud towers over him. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Cookie Monster" receieves numerous knees to the thighs from Couture. While tied up, Renaud is met with a hard uppercut. Richard presses forward and grazes Tom with a combo. Tom wants none of the stand up and clinches with Richard to then savagely throw him down to the ground. Tom Couture drops a huge strike to "Cookie Monsters" chin, landing into his guard. Richard backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. Tom fakes a shot and lunges forward pressing Richard to a corner. Richard swims for underhooks but is taken down in the process. Couture attempts to set in a hammer lock from being caught in the guard. "Cookie Monster" slips out of it at the last moment. "Cookie Monster" attempts an armbar. Tom Couture time a spin perfectly landing a strong overhand as he works his way into "Cookie Monsters" guard. The round comes to an end.
