Round 1
After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. The fighters jockey for position in the clinch. Kaminaga recieves a strong elbow opening up the clinch. Petrov snaps back the head of Hitoshi Kaminaga with a stiff jab. Markov connects with a strong right hook. Markov connects with a strong right hook. The round comes to an end.

Round 2
Petrov sends Kaminaga to the mat with a well timed jab, falling into his guard. An heel strike attempt is dodged by "The Soviet Superstar" and he traps Hitoshi Kaminagas extended leg to move to half guard. Kaminaga tries to slip his leg out to get full guard, but is having difficulty. Markov Petrov slips out of half guard and into side control. Hitoshi takes a few knees to the body while under Markov Petrovs side control. Kaminaga takes a few knees to the body while under Markov Petrovs side control. The bell signals the end of round 2.

Round 3
Kaminaga circles "The Soviet Superstar", landing jabs and crosses at will. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Kaminaga lands a powerful uppercut in the clinch. "The Soviet Superstar" works the clinch to his advantage, carefully connecting with precise strikes. "The Soviet Superstar" escapes the clinch and creates some distance. Hitoshi sprawls a takedown attempt from Markov Petrov. Markov Petrov eats several punches on the way back to his feet. Hitoshi Kaminaga grabs for a clinch but Petrov grazes him with an uppercut. Hitoshi Kaminaga staggers back, then surprises Petrov with a powerful superman punch. Markov is staggered by a jab to the chin. Round 3 is over.
