Round 1 Hideki Itami lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. "Number 3" fakes a takedown attempt and clinches with Itami. Hideki Itami drops to a knee and attempts a takedown from the clinch. Buster sets a guillotine choke but Hideki Itami slips out at the last moment. Hideki Itami is now caught in guard. Buster backs out of the guard after some unsuccessful motions and both fighters are standing. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. "Number 3" connects with a stiff knee to the chin. Hideki Itami is dazed on the mat. Hideki Itami thrusts his leg into Buster Jamess knee while grounded. The bell signals the end of round 1.
Round 2 Hideki Itami lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. James is met with a strong kick to the ribs. Buster James throws a cross that easily dodged by Hideki. Hideki Itami dodges a jab and throws a kick to the midsection of Buster James. Hideki circles Buster James, landing a front snap kick that stuns him. After dodging a jab-cross, Buster James lands a kick to the liver of Itami who steps back and begins to take a knee. Buster James rushes forward to capitalize but Itami stands back up and is met by a strong cross-uppercut that again backs him up. Round 2 comes to a close.
Round 3 Buster James lands a left hook, only to follow up with a strong kick to the ribs. Hideki Itami lands a strong outside leg kick that buckles Buster. Hideki Itami then switch kicks Buster on the opposing rib. "Number 3" snaps back the head of Hideki Itami with a stiff jab. After an exchange of punches, the fighters engage in the clinch. Hideki places a few punches to the ribs while tied up. A strong elbow forces Hideki to lose his balance and fall to the floor. Hideki Itami thrusts his leg into "Number 3s" knee while grounded. The ref stops the fight as the round comes to an end.
